Future of Real Estate Agents with AI: Three Scenarios

Summary

The future of real estate agents with AI isn’t the same for everyone, and not every scenario ends well. In this video, based on chapter 1 of The AI Real Estate Disruption, Tino Aguirre describes three possible futures.

The first is staying the same with scattered tools, until the service looks like what clients can get alone. The second is using AI to expand capacity and show judgment. The third is depending on platforms that control search and margin. All three can coexist in the same city.

Key points: future of real estate agents with AI

  • AI doesn’t affect every agent the same way.
  • First future: staying the same with scattered tools, with a service that looks more and more like what clients get alone.
  • Second future: using AI to show up prepared, verify what matters and explain why.
  • Third future: depending on platforms that decide who gets each client and how much margin is left.
  • The difference is who gains autonomy and who keeps the savings.

Frequently asked questions

What is the future of real estate agents with AI?

There are at least three scenarios: staying the same with scattered tools, using AI to show judgment, or depending on platforms. All three can coexist in the same city.

Which scenario is best for agents?

The one where AI expands their capacity: showing up prepared, verifying what matters and explaining why an option deserves attention.

What is the risk of depending on platforms?

Agents still take part, but lose control over how they reach clients and how much margin they keep.

AI doesn’t affect every agent the same way. When I think about the future of real estate agents with AI, I see three scenarios. And not all of them end well.

I’m Tino Aguirre, AI CTO at TREM Group and IDXBoost. I build AI for real estate and use it every day with my team.

The first future: the agent who works the way they always have and uses AI now and then. Individual tasks improve, but their service looks more and more like what the client can get alone.

The second: the agent who uses AI to expand their capacity. They show up prepared, verify what matters and explain why an option deserves attention. This is my bet.

The third: the agent who works inside platforms that control search and decide who gets each client. They still take part, but lose control over how they reach clients and how much margin they keep.

All three futures can coexist in the same city. The difference is who gains autonomy and who keeps the savings.

So ask yourself: when your client shows up with more analysis, which part of your work becomes less necessary, and which part starts to matter more?

At IDXBoost we build AI tools so you can live in the second future: close to your client and in control of your business.

And if you’re a realtor, run a real estate team or own a brokerage, TREM Group is the all-in-one real estate marketing, technology and growth platform for your business.
